There may also be some setups (eg remote system is a Windows server?) where you don't reconnect to the same session, and I don't know if or how that can be solved. I'd be interested to know if this works for more complex scenarios. I also create a similar script for Fusion Standalone (& Blender of course). I checked that the GPU was correctly selected and I have done some basic editing, although I do not use this very often so YMMV. It must be run as administrator or the first command fails.
For my setup I usually wait about 15-20 seconds. If I try to reconnect too soon it may or may not work. I need to wait a while until the Project Manager has started then I reconnect the session. It then opens Resolve, which runs 'locally' and finds the GPU.
